A pane of stained glass,

I am a quilt

Pieced together from scraps.

I’m a mosaic

Of broken cd’s

Of branches I’ve broken

Falling from trees.

I’m a mosaic

Of words someone said

Like butterflies twirling

Inside of my head.

I’m a mosaic of people and places,

the things that I love tied with thin golden laces.
